WHAT IS “VIRGIN” HAIR? 

Virgin hair is 100% human hair that is in its purest state, healthy, raw, and unprocessed. Our virgin hair is unprocessed, un-dyed hair that comes from one donor. To qualify as virgin hair, it must meet rigorous standards including: not been permed, dyed, colored, bleached, or chemically processed in any way shape or form. This also means the hair is collected from a single donor with all cuticles aligned in the same direction from root to tip, to increase durability and prevent tangling. Therefore, it can be customized to your specific needs.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BRAZILIAN, INDIAN, PERUVIAN, MALAYSIAN, & CAMBODIAN?

Brazilian hair is the most popular because it is very soft, thick, and blends with most hair textures.

Cambodian hair is very similar to freshly relaxed hair texture.

Peruvian hair is also very similar to freshly relaxed hair and has a coarse texture, yet is very soft.

Indian and Malaysian hair are very luxurious, have soft textures, and high density.  They are very versatile and match most hair textures.

IS YOUR VIRGIN HAIR AUTHENTIC?

We at 1st Choice Virgin Hair source out the best quality virgin hair to sell to our clients from its country of origin.

Before purchasing hair, we inspect and pick hair for quality control. Processing is done by hand in small batches and all of our hairs is sterilized and fumigated for lice, and nits. We make certain each bundle is from one individual. OUR HAIR GOES THROUGH A QUALITY INSPECTION BEFORE WE MAKE IT AVAILABLE TO CUSTOMERS.

Some of our hairs are steam processed which gives a more defined pattern and luster. The steaming process is completely chemical free. 

HOW LONG DOES YOUR VIRGIN HAIR LAST?

Our Virgin hair can last up to 12 months with proper care.

DOES YOUR HAIR TANGLE OR SHEDS?

We are committed to giving you beautiful hair with MINIMAL shedding and tangling. With proper care you can minimize shedding and tangling. Our hair will only get matted if you are not caring for it.

YES, you may experience MINIMAL shedding. Please keep in mind that all of our hair extensions are a product of a manufacturing company. They are wefts together by a machine. You may limit shedding by sealing your weft with Aleene’s Fabric Fusion, or any other brand of weft sealant; however we do not guarantee no shedding. Please seal your wefts to protect your investment.

HOW MANY BUNDLES OF VIRGIN HAIR WILL I NEED?

Each bundle is 3.5oz. For a full sew-in weave, the average person requires 3 bundles. Now, if you desire extra volume or fullness, you will need at least 4 bundles of hair. The hair is sold by weight not by length of weft. So for longer lengths, you will need 4 or more bundles. Use this chart as a guideline. Start with your longest length. 

HOW IS THE HAIR LENGTH MEASURED?

The lengths on our website are the stretched length. Please e-mail us for longer lengths. 

WHAT COLOR DOES THE COME IN?

The hair comes in natural colors only. Natural color can ranged from off black #1B to dark brown #2. But it can be colored to any color that you choose by taking the hair to a professional.

CAN I COLOR MY VIRGIN HAIR?

Yes, you may color the hair. Keep in mind that once the hair has been colored or dyed, it will no longer be considered virgin. Please seek professional Coloring Experts. Coloring your hair without proper procedure will damage your extensions.

DO YOU SEAL THE WEFTS BEFORE SHIPPING?

No, the wefts will ship to you unsealed. We highly recommend sealing your wefts to protect your investment.

HOW DO I CARE FOR AND MAINTAIN MY VIRGIN HAIR?

Because Virgin hair is not getting nutrients from the natural scalp oils, it's very important to take care of your high quality hair.  Wash hair with a quality moisturizing shampoo, and conditioner at least once a week.  Use warm water not hot water.  Before you wash the hair gently comb through hair with a wide-tooth comb starting at the ends first, working your way to the top of your head.  Wash in a downward motion or in the shower to prevent tangling.  Gently lift the tracks up and massage your scalp and your own hair.  Rinse hair thoroughly to prevent chemical buildups.  Blot dry with a towel and let it air dry.  Do not sleep on wet hair!  Apply quality moisturizing and style as usual.

HOW DO I RESTORE MY WAVES OR CURLS OR WAVES AFTER FLAT IRONING MY HAIR?

Simply wash the hair then let air dry, and it will return to its natural Wavy or Curly state. You can also use a light curl activator or leave in conditioner diluted with water to restore curls or waves. Glide your fingers through it to shape and style. 

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I HAVE MY EXTENSIONS RE-INSTALLED?

Have your stylist remove and reapply your extensions every 6 weeks.  It’s not advisable to keep the hair in beyond 6 weeks, and it's not healthy for your natural hair.  Before your first installment and in between installments take note of the following tips: Make sure you take care of your own hair by using a good clarifying shampoo with enriched herbs and vitamins.  Also use a good hair conditioner on your natural hair, and apply a light anti-itch hair oil with Aloe Vera and Almond oils to the extensions.  You should see very noticeable, consistent, and healthy hair growth while wearing your 1st Choice Virgin Hair.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SHIP?

Shipping typically takes approximately 5-7 business days to ensure accuracy and proper processing of your order. Orders will ship via USPS Priority Mail after the order ships; it will take an additional 1-3 days to receive your order. Please allow 8-10 business days to receive your order. 

DO YOU SHIP OVERSEAS?

At this time, 1st Choice Virgin Hair, LLC ships merchandise to locations within the United States and U.S. territories, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands. Additionally, 1st Choice Virgin Hair, LLC ships merchandise to Canada and Mexico, but not to other international locations.

I AM LOCAL AND WANT TO PICK UP. HOW CAN I DO THIS?

Unfortunately, local pickup is no longer an option, if you order online. However, you are welcome to purchase hair at any of our store locations.
